Skype

On Thursday we had a very cool Skype call with our Grade 2 friends from Colorado.  The Kindergartens were very excited and giggily. We got to see and hear the students who we will be collaborating with to co-create an ebook.  We learned about their school, classroom pets, favorite subjects, food, books, weather, languages that they speak...  The students were amazed that they had 3 classroom pets (fish, hamster and ferret).  They also notices all the technology they had in their class and wondered why we didn't have iPads and computers in our class.  Our classes chatted for 45 minutes and the Kindergarten students were engaged and curious.  We look forward to next week's Skype call with our friends.  We will use the iPad and we will discuss our theme for our global project.
