Twitter Presentation (Summit 2012)

Yesterday, was the Learning Technology Summit in my school board. Over 200 teachers came together to share and learn on Edtech.  There were many hand-on sessions in, Blackboard, Digital Resources (Discovery Education),  Google (Apps/Docs), IOS (iPads/Ipods), Web2tools, Smartboard, Blogging, ... to choose from.  There was something for everyone! The three sessions that I attended were very informative and practical. The presenters did a fabulous job!  Here are some of the new things I learned, that I look forward to trying in my classroom.
  • Doceri (iPad interactive whiteboard)
  • Thinglink (add links to your picture)
  • YouCanBookMe (online booking)
  • Wix (created your free website)
  • Using the Chrome Web Store to add free apps
  • Enabling Labs in Google Mail Setting
Also with my friend and long distance teaching partner, Maria, we presented Twitter! Our goals were to showcase how Twitter can allow teachers to create, collaborate, communicate with other amazing educators around the world, not only for our professional learning network but also with our class.  Here is our presentation:
